Healthcare Parking Lot Attendant - Baylor University Medical Center (Downtown Dallas)

Position Summary The Lot Attendant is responsible for the overall basic cleaning of the lot area while accurately collecting and reconciling revenue and parking reports. The attendant provides exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner throughout their stay and upholds site management parking policies and procedures as required. Compensation Hourly rate: $16.00. Compensation will be based on skills, experience, education, and location. Work Schedule Full‑time, Monday – Friday. Shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm (to be discussed during interviews). Responsibilities Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, location staff, and co‑workers. Greet guests immediately, using proper salutations and the guest’s last name when appropriate (15% of time). Stay composed under pressure while maintaining accuracy and composure (15% of time). Use proper Towne Park phone etiquette; assist guests with directions and inquiries; stand while serving guests (15% of time). Provide information about surrounding attractions and local events (10% of time). Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA; safeguard financial and identifying information. Stack vehicles using Towne Park standards; securely store and retrieve stacked vehicles; drive slowly and cautiously when delivering vehicles. Collect and reconcile revenue accurately; issue receipts; categorize tickets for audit; complete shift reports; follow bank SOPs (20% of time). Operate equipment such as registers, gates, POS, and credit card machines (20% of time). Maintain accurate guest keys, claim checks, and folio archives; produce vehicle inventory for billing. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. Must be 18years or older, able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen, and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience: One to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Customer service fundamentals. Skills: Customer service experience preferred. Computer or register experience preferred. Ability to drive manual transmission and perform parallel parking. Read, write, and comprehend standard English and simple instructions. Perform basic math (add/subtract three‑digit numbers; multiply/divide with 10’s and 100’s; use monetary and measurement units). Understand 24‑hour and military time. Understand applicable rates for time passed. Authority & Scope The role is routine; duties are carried out following established practices, with decisions made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could impact department efficiency. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Requires extended periods of standing or sitting, frequent walking, and occasional running; may handle, lift (up to 100lbs occasionally), and move objects. Outdoor work under varying weather conditions; environmental exposure to heat, cold, and extreme weather. Travel may be required up to 5%.
