Regional Medical Scientific Director, Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension -- South Central Territory

Merck seeks a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director for cardiopulmonary and pulmonary hypertension in the South Central US. The role involves building relationships with scientific leaders, facilitating peer-level discussions, supporting clinical research activities, and communicating external insights to inform internal strategy.

Responsibilities

• Identify, establish, and manage collaborative relationships with regional and national scientific leaders and investigators
• Conduct peer-level scientific discussions on disease states, epidemiology, and unmet medical needs
• Communicate external stakeholder feedback and clinical trends to Medical Affairs headquarters
• Support data generation activities including investigator-sponsored studies and clinical trials as requested
• Represent Research & Development Division at scientific meetings and contribute to post-congress reports

Requirements

• MD, PhD, PharmD, or APP credential relevant to pulmonary hypertension
• Three years biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment experience
• Three years clinical and/or research experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary therapeutic areas
• Demonstrated scientific excellence in the therapeutic area
• Residency within Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, or Kentucky
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and regulatory standards
