Overview Construction Project Manager (CS26-259) Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Construction Project Manager (CS26-259) . Responsibilities Under the direction of the Principal Architect, with considerable independence, oversee the design and construction of smaller renovation projects at SIUE, as requested by a department. Manage larger, multi-million dollar projects executed by A/E Consultants under contract, acting as the Owner's Agent. Ensure construction projects are built per contract drawings and specifications and maintain cost control to meet budgetary goals. FLSA: Exempt Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) of work experience in construction management, building project management, or a closely related field. College coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: Associate Degree (60 semester hours) equals one (1) year (12 months) 90-semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor’s Degree or higher (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) Three (3) years (36 months) of building construction management and/or building project management experience comparable to the lower level of this series Preferred Qualifications 8+ years of experience Licensed Architect Master of Architecture degree WELL Building accreditation (or interest in acquiring such) LEED AP Accreditation (or interest in acquiring such) Proficiency in Revit and BIM modeling Proficiency in SketchUp Modeling Proficiency in, or willingness to train in, carbon counting software Generalist in experience across the practices of architecture and construction Experience with renovation and maintenance of institutional buildings, interior space planning, renovation, and design; experience with design and construction of multi-million dollar projects; desirable experience managing A/E consultants and knowledge of Building and Life Safety Codes including ADA requirements Proficiency in computer-aided design, Excel, Project Management Software, Word Application Materials Please submit a cover letter, resume, transcripts, and references.
