Area Sales ManagerOur Client is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive direct revenue growth across an assigned territory while leading the performance and collaboration of internal and external sales partners. This role blends high-touch, technical direct sales with the strategic enablement and management of aligned reseller channels under defined commercial frameworks. Reporting to regional sales leadership, you will own the full sales cycle, expand key accounts, and ensure customer satisfaction and renewals.You will leverage deep technical sales acumen to deliver tailored demos and solution presentations across target industries, ideally within manufacturing and industrial software. In parallel, you will enable internal resellers through onboarding, training, and performance management, and cultivate co-selling opportunities with OEMs and ecosystem partners such as machine tool builders, CAM vendors, and tooling providers to amplify market reach.Operating cross-functionally with product, support, marketing, and finance, you will align go-to-market execution, provide timely market feedback, and maintain rigorous pipeline discipline in Salesforce. The role requires up to 50%+ travel within the territory.Job ResponsibilitiesDrive new business acquisition and expand existing accounts through technical sales engagements across target industriesDeliver customized product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to customer requirementsManage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through quotation, negotiation, and closeDevelop and maintain strategic account plans to drive satisfaction, renewals, and growthUse Salesforce for pipeline tracking, forecasting, reporting, and regular pipeline reviewsMeet or exceed assigned sales quotas and manage performance against targets using CRM toolsServe as the regional lead for managing internal resellers authorized to sell Our Client's products within a shared commercial frameworkOnboard, train, and enable internal resellers; ensure compliance with product and licensing standardsCoordinate joint marketing, lead generation, and customer engagement activities with resellersOversee reseller levels and performance expectations, including sales facilitation, technical training readiness, and first-level support responsibilitiesEnsure smooth transactional workflows, including pricing alignment, order processing, and maintenance renewalsSet growth targets for internal resellers and monitor progress through formal KPIs and periodic performance evaluationsCultivate co-selling opportunities with machine tool builders, CAM software vendors, and tooling providersFacilitate integration and go-to-market alignment with ecosystem partners to increase value for shared customersCollaborate with product, support, marketing, and finance teams to align go-to-market execution and customer outcomesProvide feedback on regional market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer requirementsJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field required; MBA or equivalent business education preferred7+ years of progressive B2B technical sales experience, ideally within manufacturing, industrial software, or engineering solutionsProven track record managing full sales cycles and consistently achieving quota targetsProficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) for pipeline tracking and forecastingAbility to deliver tailored technical demos and solution presentations to a range of stakeholdersExperience managing accounts and renewals through strategic account planningExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to KPIs and performance metricsEffective cross-functional collaboration with product, support, marketing, and finance teamsWillingness to travel up to 50%+Preferred: 3–5 years of experience engaging or managing channel partners, resellers, or OEM relationshipsPreferred: Familiarity with CNC machining, CAM/CAD, or engineering softwarePreferred: Background working with OEMs or industry ecosystem partnersPreferred: Skill in developing growth strategies and monitoring partner performancePreferred: Advanced Salesforce reporting and analytical capabilities
