Sparrow Lansing Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon for a Locum to Perm position. This role spans from April 2025 to July 2025, with an opportunity to transition to a permanent placement. The position also includes call coverage responsibilities. JOB DETAILS: Reason for Coverage: Provider FMLA Practice Setting: Hospital coverage with ambulatory follow-up as needed Schedule: 24-hr call coverage when on service at a Level I trauma center Call Schedule: Call coverage when on service Call Ratio: 1:4 call rotation for department Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day HOSPITAL: 3-4 Average Number of Patients Per Day OFFICE/CLINIC: n/a Trauma Level/Designation: Level I Annual ER Volume: 112,000 Documentation System/EMR: EPIC Number of Operating Rooms: 20 Number of Orthopedic Surgeons in Practice: 14 Description of OR Staff: standard OR support to include APP first assist Patient Age Demographic: all Do You Require Fellowship Training for Pediatric Cases: No Practice Types/Settings Required: Orthopedic Surgical Cases TRAUMA, Orthopedic Surgical Cases ADULT, Orthopedic Surgical Cases PEDIATRIC, Orthopedic Surgical Cases GERIATRIC, Hospital, Office/Clinic General Orthopedics (treatment of fractures, dislocations, amputations, deformities, and tumors of bones and joints): Surgical, Non-Surgical Additional Procedures Required or Preferred: All trauma presentations to include pelvis, acetabular, and supracondylar humerus fractures Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days Facility Reimburse for the Following Costs: Flight, Hotel, Rental Car, Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate Rates to submit: Malpractice rate Orientation - "must be 1/2 regular rate" On Call Daily - "to include 8 hours onsite coverage plus night call" Call back - "per hour of patient contact hours after 8 hours M-F" Weekend Call Rate -***hrs Sat/Sun with 4 hours gratis Conversion rate See PD for additional information.
