Operating out of our main terminal in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, we provide top-tier retail residential and commercial wholesale energy solutions across the Northeast. We are seeking a highly motivated, high-energy Inside Sales Representative to join our growing commercial sales division.
This is a full-time, in-office position at our Brooklyn, NY headquarters reporting to the Vice President of Business Development. We offer a competitive base salary plus an uncapped commission structure designed to reward high performers. In this role, you will focus exclusively on the commercial sector, executing high-volume outbound campaigns to secure recurring bulk fuel contracts with construction firms, fleet operators, and property management companies across New York City.
Core Responsibilities
- High-Volume Outbound Prospecting : Execute heavy daily outbound phone and email campaigns targeting NYC-based construction sites, transport fleets, logistics hubs, and commercial buildings.
- Commercial Contract Negotiation : Negotiate bulk fuel rates (clear/dyed diesel, gasoline, Bioheat, and heating oil) utilizing fixed, capped, or market-index pricing models tailored to commercial profit margins.
- Regional Logistics Coordination : Evaluate client tank capacities and delivery constraints unique to the five boroughs to ensure route compatibility with our in-house delivery fleet.
- Pipeline & CRM Management : Log daily call metrics, track project bid timelines, and manage contract renewal dates using CRM software (ZOHO).
- Cross-Selling & Up-Selling : Promote auxiliary commercial energy solutions, including Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) delivery, on-site fuel storage tanks, and automated tank monitoring services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Sales Experience : 1–3 years of aggressive outbound cold-calling experience, ideally in B2B sales, industrial supplies, logistics, or the energy sector.
- NYC Market Knowledge : Familiarity with the geographic layout of Brooklyn and the greater NYC metropolitan area. Understanding local commercial operations or FDNY fuel regulations is a strong plus.
- Communication & Resilience : Exceptional telephone presence, high rejection tolerance, and the ability to comfortably pitch to project managers, procurement officers, and business owners.
- Technical Savvy : Proficiency with CRMs, route-mapping tools, and quoting software to calculate bulk fuel margins efficiently.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary : Dependent on experience
- Commission : Uncapped monthly commission structure tied directly to accounts secured and fuel volume sold.
