Assistant District Attorney: Appeals Unit - Hampden District Attorney's OfficeThe Hampden District Attorney’s Office seeks applicants for the position of Assistant District Attorney in the Appeals Unit.The candidate should have superior research and writing skills;Prior clerkship or law review experience is desirable;Research, draft, file, and argue complex and high-profile appellate cases in the SJC and Appeals Court;Research, draft, file, and argue post-conviction matters in the superior, district and juvenile courts;Provide legal advice to other assistant district attorneys in the office;Second-chair homicide cases.All full time positions offer a State benefit package that includes health, life, disability, and Dental/Vision insurances, retirement plans, vacation, personal and sick leave and more. Payroll is paid bi-weekly and based on a 37.5 hour work week (normally 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check. All positions serve at the pleasure of the District Attorney.QualificationsRequired: law school graduate from an accredited law school (Juris Doctorate Degree); Strong communication, research, writing, and computer skills.
