I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Client is seeking one Business Analyst 2 (AI Business Analyst) to support the Director of Applied AI within the Chief AI & Innovation Office.
The selected candidate will assist with operational and analytical activities supporting an AI awareness training program, including tracking submissions, evaluating applications, documenting assessments, and communicating with stakeholders.
All work products resulting from this project will be considered "works made for hire" and will remain the property of the Texas Department of Information Resources.
Candidates may be required to undergo criminal background checks in accordance with Texas law. DIR will not pay any fees associated with interviews or candidate selection activities.


II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The AI Business Analyst will support the AI training program assessment lifecycle and perform duties including but not limited to:
• Support the Director of Applied AI in program operations and administrative tracking.
• Log, track, and manage AI awareness training program submissions and applications.
• Review submitted programs/applications to ensure compliance with established requirements.
• Conduct initial assessments and documentation of results for AI training program applications.
• Maintain records, status reports, and tracking documentation.
• Communicate with applicants regarding submission status, clarifications, and feedback.
• Respond to inquiries from external stakeholders and program participants.
• ssist with the development and improvement of AI program evaluation processes and documentation.
• Support reporting activities and maintain organized program data using Microsoft Office tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective AI program governance and oversight.


III. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements may be displayed to customers but may not be selected.
Minimum Requirements
Years Requirement
4 Years Strong written and verbal communication skills
4 Years Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
2 Years Experience in Information Technology with an AI or security focus
1 Year Knowledge of AI concepts and terminology


Preferred Qualifications

2 Years Knowledge of AI best practices
1 Year I training or certification
1 Year Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field
1 Year ssociate degree (AS or ABA) in related field
