Electrical Coordinator/EIT

Electrical Engineering Coordinator (EIT) – Building Engineering Services Group. The role involves performing electrical engineering tasks, collaborating with owners, reviewing documents, writing specifications, conducting analyses, and supporting small to mid‑size projects. You will also work with senior staff and lead safety initiatives while gaining experience toward an EIT credential. Responsibilities Perform assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of electrical engineering techniques and procedures. Work directly with owners to develop recommendations. Review electrical documents for conflicts across disciplines. Write and edit electrical specifications, select equipment, and devices. Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options and assist in cost estimates and specifications. Follow instructions from Project Engineer or Manager on routine assignments. Work on projects with clear objectives and limited variables. Support senior engineers on larger projects or lead small projects. Assist with field inspections and conflict resolution as part of contract administration. Make decisions on significant design and engineering features. Function as Project Manager on small and mid‑size projects when required; project management is not the principal focus. Supervise Electrical CAD Technicians and coordinate design with architectural staff and other disciplines. Maintain a commitment to safety and HDR values. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain one. Non‑licensed candidates will be titled “Electrical Coordinator.” Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or consulting firm. At least 4 years of experience designing electrical lighting, power, and systems for building projects. Experience using SKM, AGI, and Easy Power. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration. Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power. Commitment to active participation in an employee‑owned culture.
