Long Term Sick and Short-Term Disability (PT/FT) A staff nurse is a registered nurse who is responsible for the direct and indirect care of the patients assigned during a given period of time. Adheres to the Nursing standards of care for the department. Works closely with all members of the professional team, medical staff, patients and their families.
