Our goal is to provide above-competitive pay. Compensation offers will be based on experience, attitude, availability, and desire to grow. Hourly pay will be between $12-$15 an hour plus tips with a projected hourly rate plus tips total of $18-$22. Our goal is to grow fast and strong. Us

Burrito Bear is bringing Denver-style breakfast burritos to New York City. We're a new fast-casual, grab-and-go concept focused on great food, fast service, and genuine hospitality.

We're launching a modern, high-volume concept focused on high-quality ingredients and specialty items brought from Colorado — delivered with hospitality, strong operational execution, and a genuine story.

This is not an established corporate restaurant with years of systems already in place. It is an opportunity to help build a flagship concept from day one and be part of an ambitious team with plans to grow Burrito Bear into a multi-unit brand.

We're building our original opening team and looking for friendly, energetic, dependable people who want to help us create something great from day one.

You will not simply be thrown behind a register and expected to figure it out. Our goal is to provide training, structure, and support that allow you to succeed. Those systems will continue to improve as we learn and grow together, and we want our opening team to play a role in that process.

We are looking for Front of House Team Members who understand that great hospitality doesn't have to mean white tablecloths and hour-long meals. Sometimes it means remembering someone's name, moving a line quickly, handing someone a great breakfast burrito and coffee, and sending them into their day a little happier than they arrived.

You'll be one of the faces of Burrito Bear. The ideal candidate is comfortable talking to guests, works with urgency, communicates well with teammates, takes pride in a clean and organized restaurant, and can maintain positivity and poise when there's a line out the door.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet guests and make them feel genuinely welcome.
• Take orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the Toast POS/register and process payments.
• Pour coffee and prepare simple beverages.
• Package, organize, and hand off orders accurately.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized front of house throughout service.
• Keep counters, guest areas, eating rails, doors, and other FOH surfaces clean and presentable.
• Monitor supplies and restock before items run out.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen during service.
• Help manage the flow of guests and orders during high-volume periods.
• Answer basic questions about the menu and Burrito Bear.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing FOH supplies when needed.
• Complete opening and closing duties.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain the standard for our code of conduct.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the proper level of management and/or ownership.
• Help maintain a positive work environment for all team members.
• Guide and support new staff members as you gain experience.
• Suggest better efficiencies when you see them.
• Come to work in the proper uniform with a clean and professional appearance.
• Jump in wherever the team needs help.
• Enjoy your work and help others enjoy it as well.

Qualifications

• Restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required.
• Comfortable speaking with and assisting guests.
• Ability to learn and operate a POS system accurately.
• Toast POS experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to recognize what needs to be done without always being asked.
• Can smile and be a solid member of your team.
• Can stay friendly when the 100th person of the morning asks for hot sauce.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift supplies as needed.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Early morning and weekend availability is required.
• Ability to work holidays as required.
• Willingness to learn multiple FOH positions and responsibilities.
