Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Armed Public Safety in West Palm Beach, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures, report unauthorized access attempts, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying emergency responders and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, public areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
