Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Coordinator of Watco Logistics is responsible for ensuring the timely invoicing of customers within the transportation management system (TMS). Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive team member and supplier contact with frequent interruptions. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, submit, and communicate daily with customer on invoicing
• Account for accurate, complete, and timely handling of Accounts Payable for all assigned profit and cost centers
• Review vendor invoices to ensure they are properly approved compared to the appropriate purchase order
• Clarify a questionable vendor invoice items, prices, quantities, and approvals with purchasing
• Communicate daily with internal teams to target problems on past due accounts and assist with identification of next steps to bring account to current
• Comply with accounting principles and company procedures

Qualifications

Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures. Ability to maintain confidential information. Good analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines. Strong written and communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Must demonstrate self-initiative and follow-through. Excel proficiency required. SAP experience a plus. Education High School or GED equivalent
