Join our dynamic team as a Speech Therapist in a PRN capacity! Experience with pediatric clients is essential.

Compensation: $45.90 - $51.20 per hour, depending on experience!

Work Schedule: This is a PRN position that involves traveling to clients' residences.

The Speech Therapist will deliver ongoing therapy to clients in accordance with physician directives. Responsibilities include tracking and reporting client progress within the agency. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess and treat clients, liaise with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, and ensure accurate documentation of services provided.

• A minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Pathology , along with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or at least one year of experience working with adults and children facing neurological disorders, which may include challenges in language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing. The candidate should be capable of working independently within the department.
• A valid Speech Pathology license in the relevant state (where applicable) or actively pursuing the necessary supervisory experience for licensure.
• Registration with the Department of Health or eligibility for registration.
• Preferred membership in the Speech Language Hearing Association.
• Ability to audibly and visually process and synthesize substantial amounts of information (e.g., in-service training, evaluations, and therapy tasks).
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capability to read, write, and interpret professional evaluation materials to stay informed in the field, prepare in-service training, conduct assessments, and make clinical decisions.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve issues related to oneself, clients, and others.
• Capacity to manage stress from a caseload that may include frustrated clients.
• Strong organizational skills to follow complex instructions and manage schedules effectively.
• Basic math skills.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in using a personal computer, Servox, and augmentative communication devices.

• Assess and create tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing communication efficiency for clients.
• Conduct evaluations and develop effective treatment plans as requested by physicians, securing necessary approvals for services.
• Initiate prescribed treatments and keep physicians informed about client progress.
• Document evaluations, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other relevant information in compliance with agency policies, third-party payers, and state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with state, federal, and third-party payer guidelines.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members regarding client progress, challenges, and future plans.
• Engage in rehabilitation conferences regularly.
• Participate in client care planning meetings.
• Provide education to clients, families, and staff as necessary.
• Contribute to in-service training programs for agency staff as requested.
• Adhere to the Speech Language Pathology Practice Act in the state.
• Perform additional duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.

• Preferred: 1 year of experience working with adults and children with neurological disorders, including language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallowing.

• Required: Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.

• Required: Speech Therapist license.
