On Call requirement is a minimum of 8 shifts per month including at least 1 weekend.**Department Overview:**The **Cath Lab** at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 50-person team of monitor techs, cardiovascular invasive techs, registered nurses and patient care staff for additional support. The team sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient and an average of 10 procedures per day. Heart and Vascular has 3 labs for EP, Cardiac and IR at SNVMC.Primary responsibilities include acting as a first assistant to physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and electrophysiology studies. The Specialist operates and monitors advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment, ensures accurate data collection, and maintains a sterile environment throughout all procedures.
