Food Server

Job DescriptionAs a Food Server, you are responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and efficient service to restaurant guests. You will take and accurately communicate food and beverage orders, deliver orders in a timely manner, and help ensure a positive dining experience for every guest.Job RequirementsProvide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive service to restaurant guests, fellow team members, and the culinary production team.Greet and welcome each guest seated within the assigned station with a friendly demeanor, eye contact, and a smile.Take the initial beverage order within three minutes of guests being seated.Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including food and beverage offerings, ingredients, and available options.Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders while ensuring all special requests and modifications are properly communicated.Maintain clear and effective communication with kitchen and culinary staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and efficiently.Monitor assigned tables and respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and additional needs.Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner while following established service standards.Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of assigned tables and service stations.Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and service standards.Maintain a positive, courteous, and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, and vendors.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceMust be at least 21 years of age.High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.Previous food service or serving experience preferred.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.Additional RequirementsStrong customer service and interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.Basic knowledge of food allergies and the ability to communicate guest allergy concerns accurately and promptly.Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-volume, and potentially stressful environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.Must be flexible and available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with overtime as needed.Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.Required Work Cards/CertificationsValid Food Handler’s CertificationValid Alcohol Awareness/Service CertificationMachinery, Equipment, Programs, and SoftwareInfoGenesis Point-of-Sale (POS) SystemPaycom System #J-18808-Ljbffr
