Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Molecular Infectious Disease

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its Molecular Infectious Disease department in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing molecular testing procedures, operating laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality and accuracy. New graduates are welcome with full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability using established quality criteria
• Perform routine and complex molecular testing procedures per SOPs
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
• Document preventative maintenance and report accurate, timely test results

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
• Capable of passing standardized color blindness test
• Physical ability to meet job requirements and handle overtime flexibility
