Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Toxicology

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its toxicology department in Burlington, NC. The role involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality. Full training is provided for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Verify specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria
• Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
