What are we looking for At Stone Systems ( we are looking for a Machine Operator for our Shop located in Fairfield, NJ, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.What you will do As a Machine Operator you would be responsible for preparing and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment. Job Expectations: Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles and sink cutouts using tools required in the process Verify all pieces were checked, fabricated and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete Meet daily productivity goals Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates and measuring their dimensions Record product and process data on specified forms when needed Assist in minor repair and maintenance on assigned equipment Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof, face mask, etc.) Assuring all work area is cleaned and organized What you need to succeed Professional Experience Desired: Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields Experience operating a forklift Knowledge Required: Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc) Basic knowledge in maintenance Skills Required: Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs. The starting hourly range for this position is between $17 - 21.50 /hr Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible Potential Annual Award depending on individual performance and Company performance, in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.
