Veterinary Assistant / Customer Service Representative — Full-Time or Part Time Join Our In-House & Traveling Veterinary Team

We are looking for a motivated Veterinary Assistant / Customer Service Representative to join our growing veterinary team and work closely with our in-house and traveling veterinarians.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both pets and their owners, providing exceptional customer service, assisting with patient care, staying organized, and helping ensure that every client and patient has a positive experience.

We’re seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Customer Service Representative who:

• Has previous veterinary, veterinary assistant, animal-care, or customer-service experience

• Is compassionate and genuinely cares about patients and their owners

• Has excellent communication and customer-service skills

• Is friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with clients

• Is comfortable answering phones and assisting clients with questions

• Can schedule appointments and communicate appointment information clearly

• Is comfortable handling and assisting with dogs and cats

• Enjoys assisting veterinarians and veterinary staff with patient care

• Is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

• Works well independently and as part of a team

• Remains calm and professional in a busy environment

• Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Enjoys variety and is excited to assist with both in-clinic appointments and traveling veterinary services

• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting clients and their pets in a warm, friendly, and professional manner

• Answering phones and responding to client questions

• Scheduling, confirming, and managing appointments

• Checking clients and patients in and out

• Assisting veterinarians and veterinary staff during appointments

• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas

• Assisting with patient handling and restraint

• Providing basic patient care under the direction of the veterinarian

• Assisting with treatments, medications, and other patient-care needs as directed

• Helping collect and prepare laboratory samples as directed

• Maintaining accurate patient and client records

• Communicating veterinary instructions to clients clearly and compassionately

• Providing excellent customer service throughout the client’s visit

• Assisting with payments, invoices, and general front-desk responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment

• Keeping the hospital clean, organized, safe, and welcoming

• Assisting our traveling veterinarian with house calls as needed

• Helping prepare supplies and equipment for traveling veterinary services

• Building lasting and trusting relationships with clients and their pets

• Supporting the veterinary team with daily hospital operations

Schedule: Monday–Thursday — No weekends!
Experience: Veterinary assistant, veterinary, animal-care, or customer-service experience preferred
