Recommend products by asking questions that identify customer needs and inspire purchases. Offer options and solutions to customers to complete the sale. Wrap up the moment to close out the customer’s shopping journey, celebrating purchases. Master store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy’s sales systems to help customers find what they need and suggest additional items. Maintain department recovery standards, including the sales floor and fitting rooms. Deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation, ensure accurate pricing, and process markdowns accurately. Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and community. Skills You Will Need Product Knowledge: good understanding of products and expert guidance. Communication: comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person. Sales: ability to build relationships, achieve sales goals, and participate in pre-selling and sales-boosting events. Technology: utilize point of sale technology and applications to help sell and fulfill orders. Continuous Learning: self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends and stay current with training. Interpersonal Skills: excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels across departments. No education or experience required. Essential Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing/walking around the store or department. Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment. Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping; color vision included. Requires lifting, constant moving, standing, reaching, and climbing ladders.
