By connecting with The Pivot Group Network, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel.Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to meet shipping schedules.Implement and maintain safety protocols and compliance with transportation regulations.Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving issues and discrepancies.Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.Recommended Qualifications3-5 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing within a manufacturing environment.Proven leadership experience, including training, coaching, and performance management.Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing.Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain processes, and inventory control best practices.Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.Bonus QualificationsExperience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for inventory management and transaction processing.Forklift certification and experience with various material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, reach trucks).Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).Basic understanding of HazMat regulations and safe handling procedures for hazardous materials.Ability to perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting on shipping equipment (e.g., label printers, scales).Job Titles That Should ApplyShipping Lead, Receiving Lead, Warehouse Lead, Logistics Coordinator, Inventory Lead, Supply Chain Lead, Material Handler Lead, Operations Lead, Distribution Lead, Fulfillment LeadWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
