Utility Technician With Recall Duties
Location: Cerritos, CA (On site) | Type: Full Time | Pay: $24/hr | Schedule: Monday - Friday
As a Utility Technician with recall duties at Norm Reeves Ford, you will be responsible for supporting various aspects of production and quality assurance, with a specific focus on conducting recall inspections of vehicles. In addition to your PDI responsibilities, you will perform routine maintenance services.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct recalls to ensure they meet Ford's quality standards and specifications.
- Perform Ford scheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs at customer locations.
- Identify and document any defects, damages, or issues discovered during the inspection process, and coordinate with appropriate teams for resolution.
- Utilize Ford diagnostic equipment, service information, and repair procedures to accurately diagnose and complete repairs.
- Perform services including oil changes, battery replacements, brake repairs, recalls, software updates, and other approved mobile services.
- Rotating tires and implementing tire repairs according to vehicle standards
- Effectively mounting and balancing tires
- Performing alignment checks
- Conducting multi-point inspections (121-point inspection)
- Assisting in various minor services including software updates, key programming, and replacing windshield wipers
- Performing other duties as needed
What You'll Need:
- Full time availability. You'll also need to be at least 18 years old
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Experience at an Automotive School or Program
- Automotive 609 Certificate a plus
- Prior dealership experience a plus
