Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while being connected with an outpatient office dedicated to mental health. You will be part of a collaborative team of professionals who share a common goal of enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients. The organization values flexibility, providing you with the opportunity to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, balancing professional responsibilities with personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, including MBSR, to clients seeking stress reduction, relaxation, and improved emotional health.
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand clients' unique stressors and challenges, tailoring mindfulness practices to their individual needs.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions embedding mindfulness techniques, meditation exercises, and breathing strategies that promote self-awareness and emotional balance.
• Lead dynamic group workshops and classes focused on mindfulness, stress management, and resilience-building skills, encouraging dialogue and shared experiences among participants.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other therapists, to create an integrated and holistic treatment strategy for our clients.
• Document client progress accurately and maintain detailed treatment plans to track mindfulness interventions and outcomes, adhering to confidentiality and legal requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development and personal mindfulness practice to enhance your skills and keep current with mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
• Strong foundational knowledge in mindfulness-based practices and a passion for integrating them into therapeutic settings.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build rapport and create a conducive, calming therapeutic atmosphere for clients.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive training and experience in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability and comfort in conducting group therapy sessions and workshops.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or community mental health setting would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
