Senior Analyst, TS Market Operations
FINRA
About FINRAFINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) is a not-for-profit, self-regulatory organization dedicated to protecting investors and ensuring the integrity of America's financial markets. We oversee brokerage firms and their registered representatives, working every day to make sure the markets operate fairly and transparently — so investors can trust the system and the industry can thrive. If you're looking for meaningful, mission-driven work that directly safeguards the financial well-being of everyday Americans, FINRA offers a career where your expertise truly matters. The OpportunityWant a front-row seat to how U.S. markets actually run? As a Senior Analyst in Market Operations, you'll be at the heart of FINRA's trade reporting facilities — monitoring live trading activity, resolving real-time issues, and serving as a trusted point of contact for member firms, exchanges, and regulatory partners. This is a role where your judgment matters from day one: you'll independently handle routine matters while collaborating with experienced colleagues on the more complex, novel challenges that keep the markets running smoothly. If you enjoy variety, direct impact, and being the person people turn to for clear answers, this role is built for you. What You'll DoWatch the markets in real time: Monitor intra-day trading across FINRA's trade reporting facilities via system-generated alerts, phone calls, and emails — resolving routine matters independently and looping in senior staff or subject matter experts for complex or novel issues.Be the go-to resource: Deliver strong customer service by responding to inquiries from member firms, SROs, other FINRA departments, and vendors.Keep the data clean: Maintain the databases that support the operation of the marketplace.Document with precision: Maintain accurate, thorough records of all alert review activities.Inform leadership: Present matters to senior leadership through clear, well-organized written summaries that drive informed decisions and timely resolutions.Support the team: Assist junior analysts with routine operational matters and day-to-day workflows as needed.Apply your regulatory know-how: Evaluate requests in a way that furthers FINRA's mission of market integrity and investor protection.Live our values: Demonstrate FINRA's values and collaborate — in person and virtually — in service of investor protection and market integrity.Other Ways You'll ContributeParticipate in the development and testing of analytics tools and operational methodologies that boost the team's efficiency and effectiveness.Stay current on industry trends, practices, and regulatory developments. What You'll BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the securities/financial services industry, financial markets operations, or a regulatory environment — or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience.Working knowledge of FINRA and other SRO rules, as well as the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and its associated rules and regulations.Ability to identify potential securities rule violations.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for leadership.Solid organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.Preferred QualificationsExperience with financial systems and databases.Working ConditionsHybrid work environment with defined in-person requirements. Some hours may extend beyond standard business hours.Occasional travel as needed. For work that is performed in CO, FL, TX, IL, PA, MA, MD, VA, Washington, DC, NY and NJ, please refer to the chart below for the salary range for the corresponding location.
