Sales Director

Description Job Title: Sales Director Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Department: Sales Direct Reports: Account Managers / Sales Team FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt Position Summary The Executive Sales Director is the highest-ranking position within the Sales organization and is responsible for leading the Sales team, managing key customer relationships, and driving strategic sales growth. This position reports directly to the COO and works closely with executive leadership to align sales opportunities with company goals, profitability, and operational capacity. In addition to leading the Sales team, this role will serve as the lead Account Manager for Walmart and Sam’s Club, overseeing the strategic relationship, business development, and day-to-day management of these key accounts. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop all Account Managers and members of the Sales team. Establish sales goals, priorities, expectations, and performance standards. Coach and mentor Account Managers to improve customer management and sales performance. Oversee sales strategy, forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue growth. Serve as the lead Account Manager for Walmart and Sam’s Club, managing relationships, projects, presentations, negotiations, and growth opportunities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and identify opportunities to expand existing business. Partner with the COO and other departments to ensure sales opportunities align with company capacity, profitability, and operational capabilities. Serve as the escalation point for significant customer issues and strategic opportunities. Lead major customer presentations, negotiations, and business reviews. Monitor sales performance and provide regular updates and recommendations to the COO. Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, team performance, and customer service. Represent the company professionally with key customers, partners, and industry contacts. Requirements Qualifications 10+ years of progressive sales and account management experience preferred. Experience managing and developing a sales team. Experience managing large strategic accounts; Walmart and/or Sam’s Club experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of sales strategy, customer relationships, forecasting, and business development. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills. Ability to balance customer needs with company profitability and operational capacity. Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and problem-solving skills.
