Maintenance Technician Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician Assistant to help support our clients facility upkeep and assist with general maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, basic facility support, and assisting the maintenance team in ensuring equipment and workspaces remain safe and operational.

Location: Wilton, NH

Pay rate range: $22-$26/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility areas
• Support the maintenance team with general upkeep and organization of equipment and workspaces
• Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and report findings to the supervisor or maintenance team
• Replace non-critical parts and assist with minor adjustments as directed
• Read and follow work orders and equipment instructions to complete assigned tasks
• Conduct facility maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing fixes and light carpentry work
• Use hand and power tools safely to complete assigned duties
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, faulty operations, or defective materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
• Perform other general maintenance support duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in maintenance, facilities support, or a related field preferred
• Ability to work independently and take direction as needed
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to safely lift and move objects up to 50 lbs consistently (occasional heavier assistance available)
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• This role is focused on supporting maintenance efforts , not performing advanced or specialized repairs
• No electrical work or complex machine repair responsibilities required
• Work will be performed at ground level or from low-height platforms only (no ladder work above 3 feet)
