Mechanic

High school diploma or G.E.D.; 1-year maintenance and equipment operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a valid Class A Commercial Driver's license. Responsibilities: Responsible for performing skilled work in preventative maintenance and mechanical repair. Responsibilities may include inspecting machines for maintenance needs; determining and conducting appropriate maintenance, repair or replacement work; welding/fabricating; and operating applicable equipment and tools. Work Test Period: Appointee to the position must successfully complete probationary period per contract. Applicants selected for appointment must pass a criminal background check. Drug Testing: Applicants selected for appointment must take and pass a drug test. Physical-Medical Standards: Applicants must meet essential physical requirements of the position.
