The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member who advances the mission of the College through excellence in teaching, scholarship, clinical service, and professional engagement. The faculty member will possess expertise and/or relevant experience in the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, and other emerging healthcare technologies in contemporary pharmacy practice and healthcare delivery. The role involves integrating these areas into teaching, scholarship, professional activities, and the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, preparing future pharmacists to effectively, critically, and responsibly use technology‑enabled solutions in patient care. Minimum Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE‑accredited institution. Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the state of Texas. Clinical experience in pharmacy practice; area of practice specialization is open. Demonstrated expertise or applied experience in AI, digital health technologies, health informatics, healthcare analytics, clinical decision support systems, or related technologies in healthcare delivery. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical organizational infrastructure. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of pharmacotherapy, contemporary pharmacy practice, and technology‑enabled healthcare delivery. Knowledge of AI, digital health, healthcare analytics, and emerging healthcare technologies. Skill in teaching, curriculum development, and educational innovation. Skill in clinical decision‑making, critical thinking, and evidence‑based practice. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to integrate emerging technologies into pharmacy education and patient care. Ability to conduct scholarly activities and contribute to practice advancement. Ability to effectively engage students, colleagues, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency training, fellowship training, or equivalent advanced clinical experience. Board certification in a pharmacy specialty area. Experience applying AI and digital health technologies in direct patient care settings. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, ethical, and governance frameworks relevant to AI implementation. Experience developing educational content related to AI literacy, healthcare innovation, digital health, informatics, or technology‑enabled patient care. Scholarly interest or record of activity related to pharmacy practice, healthcare innovation, educational technology, AI, digital health, or informatics. Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Required License / Registration / Certifications Texas Registered Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Texas. Job Duties Deliver high‑quality instruction within the PharmD curriculum across all professional years, including didactic, laboratory, simulation, and experiential learning environments. Develop, implement, and continuously improve educational content related to pharmacotherapy, clinical decision‑making, and contemporary pharmacy practice. Provide subject‑matter expertise and advance the integration of AI, digital health technologies, healthcare analytics, and emerging technologies within the PharmD curriculum. Educate students on the responsible use, governance, and oversight of AI and emerging technologies in healthcare delivery. Contribute to innovative teaching and learning advancements within the College of Pharmacy and Health Professions. Engage in scholarly excellence through research that keeps the faculty member at the forefront of their chosen fields. Participate in patient care, practice advancement, and experiential education through clinical practice activities. Utilize emerging technologies and evidence‑based approaches in teaching and clinical practice. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information.
