Staff Accountant Accounts Payable

Staff Accountant Accounts Payable System One is seeking a Staff Accountant Accounts Payable to support a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of financial transactions. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong AP experience who thrives in a detail-driven, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Own full-cycle accounts payable including tracking, coding, approvals, and payments Review invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation Process invoices in ERP system (Oracle or similar), ensuring accurate matching and documentation Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Partner with procurement and internal teams to obtain approvals and resolve discrepancies Identify unallowable costs in accordance with government regulations and contract terms Process employee expense reimbursements Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding and issue resolution Support general ledger activities including journal posting Record sales and use tax as applicable Maintain AP files and monitor aging reports Support audits related to allowable/unallowable costs Assist with ERP system improvements and process enhancements Perform data analysis and reporting for accounting and audit purposes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 Experience with Oracle Cloud AP or similar ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Dynamics) preferred Experience with government contracts or grant accounting preferred Strong understanding of GAAP principles Key Skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills across cross-functional teams Analytical problem-solving abilities Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset Additional Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive tasks and standard office work Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Ref: #161-Managed Staffing Charlotte #J-18808-Ljbffr System One Holdings, LLC
