Cognitive Neurologist - Greenville, NC | academic, stipends

Position Highlights:

• A growing neurology practice in Greenville, North Carolina, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Cognitive Disorders, Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry, or Geriatric Neurology. New graduates and candidates requiring visa sponsorship are encouraged to apply.


• The practice is part of a nine-hospital health system serving 29 counties and approximately 1.4 million residents throughout eastern North Carolina. Greenville, a community of more than 90,000 residents, is located approximately 80 miles east of Raleigh and 80 miles west of the North Carolina coast.


• Employment with a physician-led medical group


• Academic appointment available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level


• Hospital privileges at a 974-bed Level I trauma center that serves as a regional leader in neurosciences and the only comprehensive stroke center in eastern North Carolina


• Primarily outpatient clinical responsibilities


• Occasional inpatient attending responsibilities associated with the neurology residency program


• Support from an experienced nurse practitioner dedicated to caring for patients with cognitive disorders


• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule


• No call responsibilities


• Opportunity to participate in an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program


• On-site resources include an infusion suite, in-office laboratory, EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and an ALS clinic


• Established clinical neuroscience team consisting of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists, and more than 20 neurologists


• Neurology team includes an interventional neurologist, four vascular neurologists, four neurointensivists, and 13 subspecialty neurologists


• Additional subspecialties include pediatric neurology, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache medicine, neuromuscular medicine, sleep medicine, and intraoperative monitoring


• Large team of inpatient and outpatient nurse practitioners and physician assistants
