Financial Planning Associate

Location: Mine Hill, NJ

About the Position

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Financial Planning Associate to join our team and work closely with the firm's President/Lead Advisor and other advisors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in financial planning . You do not need to be a seasoned financial planner—we are willing to teach the right person the business, develop their skills, and potentially support their path toward earning their CFP® designation .

This role is 100% non-sales . You will work directly with advisors and clients, helping organize information, support the financial planning process, and eventually take a greater leadership role in planning for the firm.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the President/Lead Advisor and other financial advisors
• Assist with the development and maintenance of financial plans
• Work with eMoney financial planning software
• Gather and organize information from new and existing clients
• Help prepare financial plans and supporting documentation
• Maintain and update client financial planning information
• Assist advisors with client-related planning needs
• Take increasing ownership of the firm's financial planning processes
• Provide client interaction and support while maintaining a high level of professionalism
• Multitask and manage multiple priorities with accuracy
• Take pride in producing thorough, accurate, high-quality work

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required
• Finance, financial planning, business, economics, or a related field 1 year required
• Previous financial planning experience is preferred but not required
• 1–2 years of financial planning experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and willingness to learn
• High level of personal accountability and ownership
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively with advisors and the broader team
• Someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to getting things right
