Property Accountant

Job Description & Duties Under general supervision, responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis for our portfolio of multiple properties. Responsibilities include * Preparation of month-end closing entries * Funding requests * Detailed general ledger maintenance * Monthly expense accruals * Balance sheet review and analysis * Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with variance analysis * Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting support * Direct interface with internal/external management Position reports to the Facility Director. Skills, Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience. * Must be familiar with PC applications such as MS-Excel ad MS-Word. * Experience with computerized accounting systems. Essential Job Duties: * Prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting reports. Make corrections as necessary. * Audit financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, revenue and expenditures. Make corrections as necessary. * Conduct the primary accounting review of various financial statements and initiate any corrections. * Oversee the analysis and reconciliation of the general ledger reports. Close ledgers and generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. * Obtain revenue and assets acquisition information then review, consolidate and summarize it for reporting purposes. * Work with budget preparation up to and including direct support. * Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. * Perform general administrative functions when needed, including answering phones, Help Desk, and inputting work orders. Salary Range Language The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
