This Sales Engineer role is your opportunity to join a globally recognized manufacturer specializing in DC switchgear, power conversion systems, and traction power solutions for the rail industry.This dynamic role is a blend of 70% technical estimating and 30% customer-facing sales, making it ideal for those who excel at both problem-solving and building relationships.Main tasks:Technical Estimating & Solutions Development: Prepare technical estimates, quotations, and solutions for traction power substation and electrified rail applications.Customer Collaboration: Engage directly with clients to deliver tailored solutions and presentations while maintaining long-term relationships.Product Expertise: Provide support on DC and AC products, including:DC switchgear, high-speed breakers, and panelsRectifiers, power converters, and voltage limiting devicesMulti-function protection relays and custom electro-mechanical solutionsSales Strategy: Develop a strategic business plan to build a robust pipeline, identify opportunities, and achieve annual sales goals.Financial Analysis: Model financial business cases to ensure profitability and competitiveness.Competitive Intelligence: Lead responses for RFPs/RFIs and stay informed on market trends.Representation & Networking: Attend trade associations, conferences, and client events to represent the company and educate stakeholders on product advancements.
