Join a high-impact QA organization where you will lead quality engineering efforts across a portfolio of data engineering initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Owners and development teams from PI planning through release to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will define and execute test strategies, oversee testing cycles, and drive continuous quality improvements through automation. This is an opportunity to influence product quality at scale while serving as a subject matter expert in test automation and quality engineering best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in PI planning and review requirements and technical design documents to provide timely, meaningful feedback to Product Owners and development teamsEstimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across an assigned portfolioPlan and manage release testing cycles and timelines across multiple initiativesDefine, maintain, and update test strategies for new development, enhancements, and defect fixesReview high-level test scenarios and collaborate with QA team members (including offshore teams) to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test casesEnsure the creation and maintenance of a robust test scenario libraryLead the execution of functional testing for new and enhanced features, as well as regression testing for defect resolutionIdentify, document, track, and triage defects; ensure timely resolution and closureDesign, develop, and execute test automation scriptsIdentify and manage risks and resolve issues impacting release scope, schedule, and qualityMonitor UAT and production defect leakage; ensure validation and prioritization of UAT defects without impacting critical timelinesCommunicate testing progress, results, and risks to stakeholders; provide QA sign-offServe as a subject matter expert (SME) for QA automation tools, providing consultation and guidance to development teamsWhat You HaveRequired Qualifications10+ years of overall experience, including at least 8 years as a Quality Engineer supporting data warehouse and ETL projectsExperience working on large-scale data engineering initiativesHands-on experience testing data warehouse ETL applications, specifically using IICS or PowerCenterExperience with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with Python scriptingStrong proficiency in SQL for data validation, data flow testing, and data analysisExperience working in Unix environments, including basic shell scriptingStrong understanding of DevOps concepts with hands-on experience using CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitHub, and GitHub ActionsExperience implementing and improving testing strategies, including both manual and automated approachesExpertise in root cause analysis and defect diagnosisExperience implementing test automation within data warehouse environmentsExperience working in Agile frameworks using tools such as Jira or RallyAdvanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectivesStrong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and strict deadlinesAbility to clearly summarize and present testing results to stakeholdersStrong customer service mindset with the ability to build relationships across the organizationPreferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel (macros), Word, and related applicationsExperience working with Control-MPerformance testing experience, including tools such as JMeter, AppDynamics, or similar
