We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations with a primary focus on personal and food safety. This role is pivotal in executing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet service and throughput targets while maintaining our unwavering commitment to quality and supporting innovation within established processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and lead hourly production employees, including operators, line workers, and frontline supervisors, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative environment.

• Serve as the day-to-day people leader for hourly employees, managing performance, coaching, corrective actions, recognition, attendance, and accountability.

• Align labor deployment and skill assignments to meet scheduled production requirements, ensuring efficient throughput and sustainable labor practices.

• Implement production schedules and staffing plans, escalating risks or constraints promptly.

• Lead shift start-up and post-shift huddles to confirm schedule attainment and analyze shortfalls.

• Develop, implement, and support training and cross-training efforts to ensure team proficiency in production procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

• Ensure all products comply with food safety and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards.

• Collaborate with various teams to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are available and properly staged.

• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and actively lead efforts to reduce incidents and unsafe conditions.

• Prepare and communicate production status updates and performance metrics to leadership.

• Manage and monitor employee time, attendance, and overtime, balancing operational efficiency with employee well-being.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of production operations experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).

• 2+ years of experience supervising hourly employees, including performance management and labor coordination.

• Strong working knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with manufacturing systems and reporting tools (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.

• Ability to translate schedules, standards, and expectations into real-time execution.

Work Environment

The work environment includes two openings: 1st shift from 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and 2nd shift from 3pm-12am, Monday to Friday. Overtime is available as needed based on production demands.

This is a Permanent position based out of East Rutherford, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
