Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Overview Join a high‑performing mobile maintenance team that focuses on reducing paperwork and delivering quality on the job. We are a local, family‑oriented fleet maintenance company that supports experienced technicians who want to grow with us. We provide on‑site repair services for trucks and trailers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs when you need them. Responsibilities WHAT YOU’LL DO Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after‑treatment systems, lift gates, tires, etc. Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections. Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components. Open and close repair orders on a company‑issued device. Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck. Accurately complete DOT forms and all other documentation in a timely fashion. Qualifications WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred. Communication skills. Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed. Valid driver’s license required. Self‑motivated with excellent organization and planning skills. Ability to use a computer or tablet for electronic processing of work orders, including adding labor hours and updating work order statuses. 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections. 3 years of truck or trailer maintenance and repair experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Basic computer skills. Must possess proper tools. WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT High school education or equivalent. Certifications are a plus. Welding experience. CDL, a plus.
