Ashley Furniture Industries, the world's largest manufacturer of home furnishings, is seeking a Manager, Consumer Finance & Payments to lead the strategy, growth, and performance of our consumer financing and payment programs across both retail and e-commerce channels.

In this highly visible role, you will serve as the primary liaison between Ashley and our finance and payment partners, driving initiatives that increase customer acquisition, improve customer retention, expand payment offerings, and support overall sales growth.

This role is ideal for a strategic, analytical leader who enjoys combining vendor management, payments strategy, marketing, customer experience, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable business results.

What You'll Do

Consumer Finance & Payment Strategy

• Develop and execute strategies that drive growth across Ashley's consumer financing and payment programs.
• Increase financing adoption, cardholder acquisition, repeat purchases, and customer retention.
• Evaluate market trends and emerging payment technologies to keep Ashley competitive and customer-focused.

Vendor & Partnership Management

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for finance providers, payment vendors, and strategic partners.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships aligned with Ashley's growth objectives and brand standards.
• Monitor vendor performance and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness and customer experience.

Business Ownership & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Act as the business owner for Consumer Finance across related business and technology initiatives.
• Partner with IT, Marketing, Sales, E-Commerce, Retail Operations, and Customer Care teams to launch and optimize financing and payment solutions.
• Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation and ongoing performance management.

Marketing & Growth

• Collaborate with internal teams and finance partners to develop promotions, offers, and campaigns that drive customer engagement and financing adoption.
• Support go-to-market strategies for new financing programs and payment solutions.
• Drive initiatives focused on customer acquisition, repeat purchasing, and long-term loyalty.

Analytics & Performance Management

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools for consumer finance and payment programs.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including:
• Cardholder acquisition
• Financing adoption
• Repeat purchase behavior
• Customer retention
• Program profitability
• Vendor performance
• Leverage data and insights to identify opportunities, improve results, and support strategic decision-making.

Payment Innovation

• Research and evaluate emerging payment technologies and financing solutions, including:
• Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)
• Digital wallets
• Alternative payment methods
• New consumer financing programs
• Lead implementation, testing, training, and launch activities for new payment offerings across online and in-store channels.

Training & Enablement

• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to develop and maintain financing and payment training programs.
• Ensure retail associates, call center teams, and support functions have the tools and resources needed to support customers effectively.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and training materials.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Consumer Finance
• Payment Programs
• Financial Services
• Marketing Strategy
• Retail Credit
• Payments
• Experience managing financial services vendors, payment providers, or retail credit programs strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
