Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a night shift inpatient unit requiring 2 years of acute care RN tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Job Details

• 25-bed inpatient unit with a 5-6:1 patient ratio,
• Urology/colorectal patient population including bladder/colon resections, TURPs, and amputations,
• RN responsible for reading and titrating telemetry,
• Medications administered include IV antibiotics, pain medications, antihypertensives, and anticoagulants,
• Equipment used includes IV pumps, walkers, and gait belts,
• EPIC EMR used,
• Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am,
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week,
• Every other weekend required,
• No local rate drop,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand,
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS,
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient telemetry RN experience,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• EPIC EMR experience required,

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy and as warranted by patient condition,
• Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams,
• Monitor, document, and evaluate patient response to clinical interventions,
• Provide patient and family education throughout care and at discharge,
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and function as a mentor/preceptor,
• Participate in a teamwork-oriented culture and Practice Governance model,
• Engage in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
