Job Position: School Social Worker

Location: Wayne, MI 48184

Pay Rate: W2, hourly; starting at $50/hour (based on experience)

Looking for a role where you can truly make an impact? Birch Agency is seeking a School Social Worker to support students in a school-based setting. In this role, you will provide counseling and social-emotional support, collaborate with educators and families, contribute to student support planning, and help foster a positive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being.

• Appropriate endorsement

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students

• Support IEP teams and contribute to the development and implementation of student goals and interventions

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers

• Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation and case records

• Assist in developing strategies that support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success

• Connect students and families with school and community resources as needed

• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment

• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of social-emotional learning and behavioral support practices

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

• Commitment to supporting student success and well-being
