Maintenance Worker IIThe Town of Vail is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to join the public works department. This position is responsible for collecting & maintaining trash receptacles, winter snow removal, park cleanliness, upkeep of facilities, and street maintenance operations. While the duties will vary depending on the season, providing guest service throughout the Town of Vail is always a priority.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Clean, repair and maintain-streets, bridges, walkways, stairs, parking lots, culverts, catch basins, ditches, rec. paths and shop facility.Keep all pedestrian areas, stairs, sidewalks, walk paths, bridges, and bus stops clear of snow and ice.Keep the villages clean by continuing checking them and hand sweeping daily, changing trash containers, and walking the villages, frontage roads, and interstate picking up trash.Vail is a guest service oriented and resort destination community. Qualified applicants must be self motivated and have the ability to work individually without direct supervision to accomplish multiple tasks.In addition they must meet the following requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredValid CO driver's license (clean driving record)Previous outdoor maintenance or manual labor experience preferredMust be able to perform job duties requiring stooping, bending, heavy lifting and physical exertion, full range of body motion required.Requires working shifts, to include nights and/or weekends, and must be available to work holidays and overtime when necessary.Are you interested in living and working in Vail, CO?
