Material Handler

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Material Handler position in Decatur, IL. Pay is $19.00hr and this is a 1st shift position. Overall Purpose Under direction of the Shift Supervisor or Warehouse Team Lead, the HT Material Handler completes in a timely manner all receiving, shipping, and material handling functions as required. Reports T o Direct: Shift Supervisor and Site Manager Indirect: Area Manager/ Director of Operations Responsibilities Sort material as needed Accurately and legibly fill out daily paperwork Perform record and time keeping activities as required Complete damaged goods reports and/or accident reports as required Use power and hand tools typically found in a warehouse environment Safely move, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Operate a forklift for extended periods while following all safety, quality, and warehouse procedures Use powered industrial trucks and pallet jacks to move material within the work area Complete other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Must be able to speak, read, and write English Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Must have reliable transportation Accurately perform basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Ability to learn, understand, and follow work instructions and safety procedures Operating-level proficiency using personal and laptop computers Capable of accurately maintaining records and timekeeping documentation Powered Industrial Truck Operator (OSHA) certification or ability to obtain certification through TRIGO HT Demonstrated competency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment Demonstrated competency in operating power and hand tools Global team spirit Team player Caring for people Open-minded Reactive Resilient to pressure Rigorous Customer oriented Reliable & trustworthy Flexible Excellence Reactive Resilient to pressure Rigorous Customer focus Customer oriented Reliable & trustworthy Flexible Initiative Autonomous Innovative Daring Work Experience Overall Recommendations Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred.
