Position Summary As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design and code construction activities associated with development of software releases for the Aetna guest experience systems. The current suite of systems includes multiple applications including, but not limited to, the Tier 1 systems for Aetna. Roles and Responsibilities The Senior Software Development Engineer will partner and collaborate with the development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver Business change and innovation into our Java based business applications software. In addition, the Senior Software Development Engineer will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production. Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development in enterprise/web applications.
• 4+ years of experience in Java, spring boot and React.
• 4+ years of experience in modern programming languages and cloud-based

technologies.

• 4+ years of experience in Agile development practices.
• 4+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud computing, and

microservices architecture. * 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP or other public cloud services. Preferred Qualifications * Strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

• Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Command of architecture, design, and business processes.
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
• Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve

organizational goal. * Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products. * Experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain. Education * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience). Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $92,700.00 - $185,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
