Associate Nutrition Services Coordinator

Overview: Join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional mealtime and break experiences for associates, healthcare professionals, volunteers, visitors, and the community through expert catering and nutrition services. This role emphasizes a culture of service, quality assurance, and customer advocacy. Key Responsibilities: Manage catering events from planning through execution, ensuring flawless delivery and top-tier hospitality using electronic tracking systems. Maintain food quality and safety standards in compliance with regional food codes, including attractive plating and garnishing of all food items. Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stocking of catering supplies and pantry items, utilizing databases for accurate record-keeping and pricing updates. Research and develop catering menus and recipes, coordinating with vendors and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Support daily beverage break setups and assist in various departmental areas during downtime. Prepare and cook a variety of foods for patients, cafeteria, and special diets using commercial kitchen equipment, following recipes and portion guidelines. Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas, adhering to sanitation and safety protocols. Education and Certification: No formal certification required; however, experience in food service or nutrition is beneficial. Experience and Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Proficiency with electronic databases and inventory management systems. Customer service orientation with problem-solving capabilities. Work Environment: This full-time position operates on a first shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
