Associate Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician

Job Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in healthcare settings, adhering strictly to infection control standards and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned areas, including operating rooms and common spaces. Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment following established guidelines. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Properly handle, separate, and dispose of regular and biohazardous waste materials. Comply with all infection prevention, safety, and institutional policies. Collaborate with team members and work independently to fulfill department objectives. Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Previous experience in a related cleaning or support services role is advantageous. Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred. 1-2 years of relevant work experience recommended. Work Schedule: First shift, typically 8 AM to 4 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations required. This position is located in a regional healthcare facility within the Midwest United States.
