Summit Solutions Group LLC is seeking a motivated, organized, and dependable Projects & Procurement Specialist to support our growing construction and telecommunications operations. This is a hands-on coordination position for someone who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and keep projects moving from the bidding stage through final project closeout.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, stays ahead of deadlines, and doesn't wait to be reminded that something needs to get done.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

·        Identify and track new bid opportunities.

·        Assist with preparation and submission of bids and proposals.

·        Review bid requirements and help ensure submissions are complete and submitted on time.

·        Assist project managers with project startup and ongoing project coordination.

·        Coordinate permits with cities, counties, and other authorities having jurisdiction.

·        Schedule and coordinate required project inspections.

·        Coordinate equipment and tool rentals.

·        Coordinate portable restrooms, dumpsters, temporary services, and other project site needs.

·        Assist with purchasing and procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.

·        Request and compare vendor and supplier pricing.

·        Track material availability, lead times, orders, and deliveries.

·        Assist with purchase orders and procurement documentation.

·        Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and field personnel regarding project needs.

·        Maintain organized project documentation and records.

·        Track outstanding project requirements and follow up with the responsible parties.

·        Assist with change documentation and other project administrative requirements.

·        Collect and organize project photos, inspection reports, test results, equipment information, warranties, and other required documentation.

·        Prepare and coordinate project closeout packages.

·        Ensure closeout documentation is complete and submitted in accordance with customer requirements.

·        Provide additional project and operations support as needed.

·        Comfortable following up with people to obtain outstanding information and documentation.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

·        Experience in construction, telecommunications, electrical, utilities, or another project-based industry is preferred.

·        Previous experience in project coordination, procurement, purchasing, estimating support, or construction administration is a plus.

·        Smartsheet, Talonview, Company Cam experience is a plus.

WHO WILL SUCCEED IN THIS POSITION?

This position is a good fit for someone who likes being involved in multiple aspects of a project and enjoys solving problems.

You should be comfortable switching between preparing a bid, calling a jurisdiction about a permit, getting pricing from a vendor, arranging an equipment rental, tracking down missing documentation, and helping a project manager get a closeout package submitted.

Organization and follow-through are critical. Our field teams and project managers rely on this position to help remove administrative and logistical roadblocks so they can keep projects moving.
