Assistant Manager I

Responsibilities Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day store activities Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns Organize transfer of merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas Perform opening and closing procedures as needed Process all corporate directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey, etc.) Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise Record keeping: payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts; loss prevention Maintain a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash Ensure associates follow safety guidelines and company policies Supervise, train, and develop store associates Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders Maintain cleanliness throughout the store: bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills required Perks & Benefits Medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision insurance Employee Assistance Program Retirement plans Educational assistance Additional rewards to support health, wealth, and mental well‑being Location: Part time – 101 S.
