ASCP Registered Nurse - Surgery Unit Night Shift
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing patient and family-centered nursing care in a setting that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and upholds the highest professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements. The position supports acute care departments including Medical and Surgery Units, Emergency, ICU, Childbirth, Pediatrics, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
- Apply expertise to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
- Foster excellent relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment, adhering to safety protocols, HIPAA, and national standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including certifications and leadership opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams, promoting a culture of trust, mentorship, and shared success.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care experience if non-accredited.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; accelerated MSN enrollment accepted.
- Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications required or to be obtained upon hire.
Licensure:
