Employment Associate Attorney

DescriptionWe are looking for an Employment Associate Attorney to join a collaborative legal team in Sacramento, California. This hybrid position is well suited for a lawyer who is confident handling employment disputes and enjoys working in a detail-oriented, office-based environment. The role offers the opportunity to support a range of litigation matters, including proceedings involving arbitration, mediation, and public sector employment issues.Responsibilities:• Represent clients in employment-related disputes through all phases of litigation, from case assessment to resolution.• Conduct and defend depositions, gather witness testimony, and develop factual records to support case strategy.• Prepare motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents with strong attention to detail and persuasive analysis.• Manage matters involving arbitration and mediation, including case preparation, participation, and follow-up actions.• Advise on employment law issues affecting public sector organizations and help address complex workplace disputes.• Collaborate with attorneys and internal stakeholders in a hybrid work setting while maintaining an active presence in the office.• Analyze legal risks, evaluate claims and defenses, and recommend practical litigation strategies aligned with client objectives.Requirements• Active license to practice law and good standing with the applicable state bar.• At least 3 years of experience in employment law, with a strong foundation in employment litigation.• Demonstrated ability to take and defend depositions in contested matters.• Experience drafting motions and other substantive litigation filings.• Solid background in civil litigation procedure and case management.• Familiarity with arbitration and mediation processes in employment-related cases.• Experience working on matters involving public sector employers is preferred.• Ability to thrive in a hybrid role that includes regular in-office collaboration.Job typePerm
