Job description: Medical Director – Psychiatry Location: Phoenix, AZ Job Type: Full-Time Position: Non-Clinical / Administrative Medical Director We are seeking an experienced and Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our team as a Medical Director in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist looking to transition into or further develop a leadership, medical administration, and clinical oversight role without direct patient care responsibilities. Position Overview The Medical Director will provide medical leadership and clinical oversight while working collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and patient care. This is a non-clinical position, allowing the physician to focus on leadership, program development, clinical policies, and overall medical operations. Responsibilities Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight Support quality improvement and patient care standards Review and develop clinical policies and procedures Collaborate with administrative and clinical leadership Provide guidance on psychiatric and behavioral health matters Assist with regulatory, compliance, and documentation requirements Promote best practices and high-quality behavioral healthcare Support the development and growth of clinical programs Serve as a medical resource for the organization and clinical team Qualifications MD or DO with a specialization in Psychiatry Board Certified in Psychiatry Active Arizona medical license Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience Previous leadership, medical director, administrative, or supervisory experience is preferred Strong understanding of psychiatric/behavioral health standards Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Why Join Us?
